"A present for my daughter. she's really happy with the quality and delivery to me was fast. However, there was slight damage to the outer box.
Bubble wrap might have averted this. All in all pleased."

Pros: surperb sound quality, well made and looks good

"Bought the previous model 2 years ago and have bought the newer model now. This radio is tops for quality and sound. Radio 4 is superb and our local radio fantastic. Pure products are expensive but its 5 star quality and enjoyable listening. For me the best."

Pros: Compact, Durable
Cons: doesn't take normal batteries, you need to buy a special battery pack
"I normally use an award winning Denon mini hifi to listen to DAB radio, and I've never been that impressed with the sound quality. I put it down to the fact the DAB signal just wasn't that good, so I was surprised at how good the sound quality is on the Pure Evoke. Worth every penny."

"I've had my own radio for about 6 months now and recently bought the same model as a gift for my sister. I researched other products to see if something cheaper and better had come on the market in the last few months, but decided that the Pure Evoke 1S still offered the best value for money for the features I was looking for. Though not cheap, it's quite stylish, easy to use and the sound is excellent. I've recently purchased the Pure i-10 so I can listen to my iPod through separate speakers. It connects easily to my radio and the sound is surprisingly good for mono."

"I bought this for my elderly mother who can operate it (especially since I sorted out some presets for her)and very much appreciates it. The sound is of good quality, rich and powerful for its size. Digital reception is of course notably superior to analogue. I may get one of these for our kitchen. A bit expensive, but the quality justifies it."

Its easy to use and the sound is good for the price and considering the size and the fact it only has one (main) speaker.
If you want something to accompany you around the house as you do some housework etc, this is ideal.
However the cost of the charge pak, without which it does not gain its true potential, make it expensive:- £100"
