Pros: Inexpensive, easy to use
"I am very pleased with this purchase. It is easy to set up and easy to use. I have had to change the black cartridge so far after printing several hundred A4 sheets. I have only printed a few photographs so far but the quality and colours are excellent."
Cons: lack of linux driver, having to re-seat print head all the time, not as fast as the manufacturer claims, loud
"I purchased this printer due to the advertised speed and thriftiness of the ink. I am an irregular printer, but when I do need a copy, it needs to be quite high quality.
Installation: The printer took a little bit of trial and error to set up. The "print head" kept throwing an error (and still does occasionally). I have to take the cartridges out, remove the print head and then re-seat it. After this, the error goes away. Sadly this causes the printer to print a test page which takes minutes.
Quality: The print quality on standard A4 is 'fair'. I've seen better, but it's one of the best inkjets I've used. On the provided glossy photo paper, the quality is amazing. On Tesco / ASDA photo paper, the quality is good but not as good as on the more expensive kodak paper.
Speed: Not very impressive at all. Besides having to reseat the head now and again, the print speed is *far* from the advertised 30ppm colour. More like 2ppm, or 4ppm in draft mode. perhaps if you printed one pixel on each page it'd be 30ppm. Saying that, even though Kodak are telling gigantic porkies about the speed, it's not all that sluggish.
Ease of use: More than once I've had to turn the printer off, mid-print, kill the job, and start again from where it stopped printing. This isn't a JAM, it just stops mid-page. This is from XP SP3. Unfortunately I am completely unable to use this printer from ANY of my Linux machines due to woeful lack of driver. Also, when printing to photo paper, there seems to be a bug in the printer driver that unless you remove all the A4 sheets it prints to the A4, even if you select the 'upper tray'.
Features: The printer seems very feature-packed, and looks really good on the desk. The range of printing options is nice, and considering the cost, I'm quite impressed. I'm still unsure about the claims for the low-cost to run, but despite some heavy use, the printer is still on its first cartridges."
"Good quality as you would expect from a Kodak, although the feel if some of the components is a little plasticky. Very easy cartridge changes. Nice touches like the menu and screen which shows how low the ink is getting. Disappointed about how many paper jams we are getting and the internal access to free up could be a problem. Machine took ages to get passed one paper jam even though it was clear."

excellent printer

Pros: Durable, econmocal, easy to use, sleek design, wireless
Cons: Expensive
"This is an excellent Printer. Despite its large price it will undoubtedly save you money in the long term due to its fantastic ink economy combined with the amazing low prices that Kodak offer. For example, i could get two black and two tricolour cartriges aswell as a pack of photo paper for the price of one tricolour cartrige for a previous printer. on top of this its wireless networking feature is invaluable in any home with more than one computer that requires a printer. very easy to setup and use."
