Pros: all round good quality
"This was a Christmas present for my wife and I, and we are extremely pleased with the quality.
At first when the unit arrived it was a little bigger than expected, but the features and sound quality that come out of it are amazing. The extra sub makes a big difference with bass!
Would highly recommend this product, and Laskys provided a fantastic service at a good price!"

"This was a Christmas gift for my son he is very pleased with the product he had chosen a different make but on reading the reviews I managed to convince him this was better he is very glad I did the sound is amazing .

Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, loud
"This is by far the best HiFi I have had. When using the CD or USB having the volume on 5 out of 30 is very loud. Only managed to get it to 15 so far which is the loudest thing in the world.
Great features, Z-Groove is amazing, makes a massive difference to the sound.
The HiFi is a lot bigger than I expected, but I think it is good being big. The build quality is great too.
I highly recommend the product, excellent value for money."

"This product has replaced an older Sony Hi-Fi which in itself was always very good, never had any problems with it.
This new upgrade is excellent in every way, it gives me all I need. I will never be able to use its full power as I live in a flat, but if you live in a detached property you will be able to enjoy the high power levels this product affords us.
Well built, nice looking, excellent audio quality and all you would expect from a Sony Hi-Fi.
I would recommend this product.
Laskys also supplied my previous unit and their service has always been very good, thanks."

"The HiFi is an amazing replacement for our very old system. We are impressed with the sound quality and the features offered, some of which we haven't yet utilised. Some functions can only be accessed via the remote, which is less straighforward than we expected, eg to shuffle play through all three discs requires several key presses on remote whilst correspoding those with the small and not easily located part of the display. Just a few niggles of that nature - it is still a fantastic system and a great addition to our household.
The service from Laskeys was exactly as we expected and the price of the unit at the time was the best we could find anywhere. We benefitted from trying out the unit in a shop first.
Overall very impressed."

"Sony are a very well known brand and you know what you are buying.
The quality of this machine is excellent.
LASKY'S were the cheapest by far of anyone for this particular model.
However the only downside to this is. It could do with being another £20 cheaper, to make it really excellent value for money and having paid Laskys for special delivery the item did not arrive until 4 days after Christmas.
I would recommend this product."

"This is the MHC-GTZ3I.CEK which consists of the unit, 2 main speakers and a subwoofer.
I was looking for an all round system to replace my previous trusty Sony midi system which finally gave up the ghost after 13 years. This system does not disappoint.
The sound output is superb, although unless you live miles from your nearest neighbour, you'll have to keep the volume below 40% as at 100% you could hear it over an aircraft engine! However sound output and quality is excellent, even at low volume.
Good range of sound formatting options that one would expect from a Sony and easy to read display. Numerous glitzy flashing display options but can be programmed to operate without these if, like me, you find them distracting.
Good range of features, pity it didn't have DAB for the radio, but good quality RDS FM and MW radio. USB direct connectivity is very useful and you can also record to USB from CD, Radio or other input directly to USB as MP3 formatted sound (thereby offering a replacement to old cassette format recording). Useful also in that you can set timer to record in your absence, useful if radio programme you wish to record when you're out is not repeated elsewhere (eg internet).
USB input also works most features of your Ipod which is useful as you don't have to juggle a second dock remote; only shame is that they haven't made an integrated dock on the unit (available on smaller units but not this one due to placement of the 3 cd tray).
Phono input (described as PC) means you can hook it up to anything else using a 2 phono lead and use excellent sound from this system to listen to your other sound source.
Headphone output and mic input finish off this well rounded system.
Only criticism is that the back of the unit bulges out a bit (I assume due to 3 cd tray changer; i preferred old carrousel format changer myself) and speaker leads are far too short for a system of this calibre. Leads are prewired so you have to splice in cable in the middle of the exisiting leads sue to proprietary connectors into back of hifi but no major problem, just an unnecessary inconvenience from an otherwise excellent and easy setup process.
Excellent value on this website; most competitors price nearer RRP of £240. Cheaper, smaller systems available but not with such extensive features.
Hope it lasts at least as long as previous Sony.
Would absolutely recommend this system to all tastes of listener."
