"I wanted something to simple on which to play my CDs. This does the job, looks great, sound is good. Radio reception is poor but that is because I live in a remote area with many hills (I can't get TV reception via a normal aerial and the only satellite TV which will work is Freesat). Can't comment on reliability because I've only had it just over a month, but if you're looking for some simple and inexpensive yet of good quality, this is the one."

"I've only had the Ferguson F4001 for a few weeks, so can't comment on reliability in the long run, but am very happy with it so far. The sound is fine for my purpose & it's really handy having usb & SD card connectivity. The only thing I would say is that the process in setting it to switch on in the morning could be a little bit easier. But, adding to this, it would only be a problem if you are changing the wake up timer on a regular basis. It would also have been good to have a dimmer on the front display as well. Taking these very minor negatives into account, the unit is a very capable piece of kit for £65 I got it at Laskys (who, I'm happy to say, provided a good service). As I said, I'm happy so far & hopefully you will be as well."

"I already have one of these units and this was purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter who had already said how impressed she was with mine, particularly the MP3 playing facility. Unfortunately, there was a fault with the new hifi, when my daughter attempted to use it, but Laskys agreed immediately to provide a replacement, and although they had to change their originally proposed delivery/collection date, they kept us fully informed. I was impressed with the level of customer service and my daughter now has her own hifi with which she is delighted."

"If you are looking for value for money and the opportunity to play music from a variety of sources, this is the ideal purchase. It may not meet the requirements of supposed hi-fi experts, but it does everything I want, sounds great and has all the features I need. Definitely one of my better purchases!"
