Cons: a bit 'bassy' but acceptable for price
"Good value little system. Good sound and great connectivity. RCA sockets on back for audio in/out so can put TV sound through speakers. A real bargain from Laskys esp with LENT25 discount applied, cost less than£130.00- superb value. (Comet £250!!)

All in all a decent little system with DAB, good tone and sound and i-pod connectivity. Just what I've been looking for and I've listened to to a few."

"Excellent system with comprehensive facilities at a great bargain price. Only drawback is that the lcd screen is too short so it truncates station names on the DAB broadcasts. This means all the BBC stations show BBC RADIO as the 1,2,3 etc is not shown."

"I waited for ages for this item to come back in stock and true to their word it came in at the same price. Comets were selling the same stereo for £260.00!!!! It is so easy to set up, from box to working in under 2 minutes!!! Very simple to use, the volume and sound quality is amazing for such a reasonably priced unit."

Cons: no bass or treble control on remote.
"This little unit not only looks good it sounds great too. Very good base for size of speakers. DAB was pretty easy to setup and sounds crystal clear aswell. The only dounside I found was the bass boost and the loudness buttons seem to do the opposite of what they are supposed to. Apart fromm that I can't fault it at the price."

"This item is worth every penny, normally go for Sony or Panasonic, but with the design build and features you can't get better than this Hitachi, it comes with all the connections to play the latest gadgets ie ipod and mp3 players, dab is excellent but only thing I don't like is find stations on dab is bit confusing but thats all...very powerfull sound for mini Hifi ..... don't delay buy now."

"Bought this to replace an earlier Hitachi system which had worked well for several years. This is a significant imnprovement, except the wire DAB aerial which is much more difficult to use than the telescopic aerail on the earlier version - fortunately I've been able to reuse the old aerial.
It sounds and looks great - ipod docking works well with an old Nano but no joy plugging in my old Samsung MP3 player into the usb port.
I get great results plugging my Pure Evoke Flow radio into the aux port and using it to stream music, internet radio etc. through my wifi network.
Excellent product and particularly good value from Laskys - half the price than from Comet!"

"Great little compact micro. Sound is great for me. I had it up and running within 20mins and tuned to DAB.
Read other reviews and other sites and was impressed with product. Laskys was the cheapest with free del. came in 5 days and what a good deal!! Check the price on Comet!! I see its out of stock at mo-no wonder. Its a bargain +Hitachi. Looks smart too.would use Laskys again"

"Incredible value for money. Great sound with good bass (do not use the sbass though!) The USB input allows easy access to music stored on an MP3. It's compact size lends itself well where space is at a premium, especially in a bedroom and it looks great too. Bought for my 17 year old son who is music mad but also has his Xbox 360 connected through the Hitachi! You will not be disappointed and the delivery service from Laskys is superb. Buy it."
