"Having looked at as many Home Surround systems as I could, I finally chose this model, the Samsung c-5500. Am I GLAD I did! It is a fantastic system. So easy to use and with Terrific sound quality! It also looks very stylish!!! Great Product @ a Great Price!!"

Pros: ineternet tv !!!, looks good

Cons: poor bass, no iplayer, difficult set up

"I bought this device on the premis that it would have IPLAYER available on the Internet TV , but SAMSUNG have not release the app for this machine
Bass is over powering and cannot hear speech clearly , even after modifiying the speaker out put
Also not so simple to connect to Samsung TV , need HDMI and also Optical cable for a successfull contection , VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH SAMSUNG thought it was a good brand but this system is not user friendly and does not "do as says on the tin )"

"What can you say? Does exactly what it says on the tin - the sound from a proper 5.1 blu-ray disc is amazing - better than being in the cinema. The ipod connector is great, and the speakers look great. Haven't tried the internet yet - waiting for a new wireless router, and will defo be connecting the satellite speakers wirelessly once i've found somewhere that sells the hard to find piece of kit required!!
Overall - couldn't be happier with it :D"

"First Home Cinema I bought after looking at a few other reviews.
The sound quality is excellent for a piece of equipment this price!
When used with a Blue-ray disc the quality in sound and picture is up there with the best

The only downside is the internet TV which is not up to much, but I don't intend to use this much anyway, even though its easy to set up."

"Bought this with new LE37C650 telly. Superb sound but interface for internet TV etc not a patch on the TV version.

Annoyingly changes input back to DTV from HDMI from Sky box but otherwise superb. Still end up using both remotes!

Sound quality and Blue Ray picture blow away any of above misgivings.

Brilliant price Laskys. £120 cheaper than in town!"

"I recently purchased a Samsung L.E.D. 40" TV.
The sound quality was dissapointing, but that was no surprise as I had been used to Cimema Surround sound on my previous TV.After much searching and demos I decided that the Samsung 5500 home cinema Blue Ray player would fulfil my requirements..and I wasn't dissapointed.!
The look, the sound, the ease of setting up, the Laskey price and delivery were all A1.
Any dissapointments.. just that the wireless conectivity was not available for the rear speakers from Laskey(so they told me) which means purchasing from another source(which I have yet to do) and no cables were sent with the system.. so I had to purchase them again from another source.. dosn't seem to be a way of altering the base or treble output from the remote.. but maybe thats me.. and havn't found the right button to press yet! but the saving on the price compared to a local national store was £160.00. Unbeleivable.. so I am overall a very happy customer.!!"
